Dr Gokce Phillips

Dr Gokce Phillips brings a unique blend of academic rigour and practical industry experience to the forefront of the Fintech, crypto, and blockchain sectors. Holding a PhD in Computer Science from the University of York, her early career at Thomson Reuters (now a part of LSE Group) gave her a solid understanding of Fintech products, laying the foundations for her subsequent work.

As the CEO and Co-founder of Crypto Index Series Ltd, Gokce has a deep knowledge of Blockchain Technology, Crypto Asset Taxonomy and Tokenomics. She has spoken at conferences, especially around the institutional adoption of crypto assets, and delivered training courses. Her experience in doing business with many Crypto-Fintech and Traditional Finance stakeholders provided her with a good understanding of the dynamics of the industry as well as regulatory challenges.

By closely following guidelines, analysing sandboxes, and reviewing legal cases, she has accumulated exceptional expertise in the sector and guided the company through the intricacies of an evolving regulatory environment. This strategic approach allows her to assess Crypto Asset and Crypto-Fintech projects / firms both from a technical standpoint and in the face of regulatory challenge.
