Richard is a Credit Risk Management specialist with over 30 years of experience within Investment Banking. His CV covers roles in Mergers and Acquisitions, Debt Capital Markets and Derivative Trading portfolio management. After 11 years at Robert Fleming culminating as Head of Credit Risk Management, he spent 15 years at JPMorgan in various Credit Risk Management roles, most recently as Head of JPMorgan’s Emerging Markets Credit Risk practice in EMEA. He sat on numerous Boards and Committees at national and international level, spanning Financial Institutions in the UK, France and Russia, both in an Executive and Non Executive capacity.
He was responsible for all product exposures covering deal origination, analysis, documentation, deal execution, portfolio management, regulatory reporting and pre-emptive situational management. As part of his remit he became a sitting member on various EMEA Committees, including the Balance Sheet, Reputational, Debt Underwriting and Equity Commitment Committees.
After taking early retirement from JPMorgan , he has leveraged his senior executive skills and boardroom experience by building a portfolio of Non Executive and Trustee positions in private companies and charities.
